LEGISLATION INFORMATION
PBA stands vigilant to oppose enactment of unwarranted or unsound legislation directly at state level, and indirectly at
the national level through its affiliation with the National Boating Federation.
Some of our concerns include:
- Prevention of punitive or restrictive regulations masquerading as safety measures.
- Opposition to unreasonable taxes and fees on boats and operators.
- Reviewing antipollution regulation which would impair boating, but have no discernable results in abatement of pollution.
- Assurance that boating receives its fair share of public funds, in balance with other recreational pursuits.
